Legacies of Ewan MacColl

I have the pleasure to announce that, after a long and hard work, Ashgate has scheduled for November my book Legacies of Ewan MacColl (co-edited with the English musicologist Allan F. Moore). It contains the text of the long interviews I did with the great British folksinger in 1987 and 1988 and also includes some critical essays that contextualize MacColl’s work in music and theatre and discuss his political activities, that started in the ‘3os and only ended with his death. This book is a historical document not only because it’s MacColl’s last and longest interview but also because it goes through a century of British history seen ‘from below’. Legacies of Ewan MacColl opens with a preface written by Peggy Seeger and it will be published on the occasion of twenty-five years after MacColl’s death. For details see the link
